CINCINNATI — September 8,2026 — Wood Herron & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer Lunn, Ph.D. has joined the firm as Senior Counsel, bringing more than a decade of patent law experience and an extensive scientific background in chemistry to the firm’s patent practice.
Jennifer focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling across a broad range of technologies, with experience in chemistry, polymers, materials science, pharmaceuticals, petroleum technologies, and related mechanical technologies. She has prepared and prosecuted U.S. and international patent applications and counseled clients on patentability, freedom-to-operate, invalidity, and patent portfolio strategy.
Her experience spans technologies including polymer compositions and processes, catalysts, organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, OLEDs, glass and films, batteries, nanoparticles, drilling fluids, adhesives, filters, and other advanced materials and products. Jennifer has also managed international patent matters across numerous jurisdictions, including Europe, Asia, Canada, and Mexico.

Before entering private practice, Jennifer gained experience with both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she worked in the life sciences technology center, and the U.S. International Trade Commission’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations, where she assisted with patent infringement matters under Section 337.
Jennifer earned her J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati, and her B.S. in Chemistry from Centre College. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in Ohio and Virginia.
Jennifer’s addition further strengthens Wood Herron & Evans’ capabilities in protecting innovation across the chemical, materials, life sciences, manufacturing, and advanced technology sectors.
