
Wood, Herron & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that Scott Guttman has joined the firm as an attorney in the Mechanical & Aerospace Practice Group.
Scott advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, mainly focusing on patent preparation and prosecution in the U.S. and internationally. His practice includes patentability, infringement, and clearance investigations, as well as developing strategic plans to enforce and defend patent and trademark rights.
Scott has experience in various industries and technologies, such as medical devices, oil and gas, firearms and optics, aerospace parts, molded containers, and consumer goods. He also guides clients on design patent applications and cost-efficient strategies to maximize IP protection and meet business goals.
Scott is admitted to practice in Ohio, Kentucky, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and holds dual undergraduate degrees: a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and a B.A. in Mathematics from Butler University.
