WH&E Adds Three New Associates

OCTOBER 15, 2014

WH&E has added three new Associates: Elizabeth Conklin and Larry Williams.

Elizabeth A. Conklin attained both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees at the University of Louisville where she focused her studies on Chemical Engineering. Elizabeth received her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in May of 2014. Her engineering work experience includes positions in industry, consulting, and research. Elizabeth previously gained patent prosecution experience at an intellectual property law firm located in Alexandria, VA. Elizabeth, who remains a proud Cardinal fan from Louisville, KY, now lives in downtown Cincinnati.

Dr. Larry Williams serves in the firm's Chemical/Materials Sciences and Biotech Practice Groups. While involved in all phases of intellectual property representation, Larry's emphasis is on patent application preparation and prosecution. Larry's technical background is in targeted drug design, natural product synthesis, and synthesis and characterization of polymeric systems for energy generation and storage. As a patent attorney, Larry has diligently represented his clients' interests in technical areas ranging from plant-sized chemical reactor systems to novel compounds for OLEDs to advanced polymeric systems for applications such as cosmetics, automotive interiors, diapers, and fuel cells. Larry joined Wood, Herron & Evans in 2014 after gaining valuable experience in both general practice and IP-centric law firms. He resides in Newtown, Ohio with his wife, Sharlene, and their daughter.
