Paul Linden is a partner and registered patent attorney at Wood, Herron & Evans LLP, where he began his legal career in August 2008 and joined the partnership in January 2016. While Paul counsels clients regarding all aspects of intellectual property law, he focuses his practice on three primary areas: federal court litigation at both the trial and appellate levels; inter partes proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office regarding both patents and trademarks; and preparing opinion letters on a broad range of intellectual property issues, such as patentability and freedom to operate.

Paul received his law degree, cum laude, from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Northern Kentucky Law Review. Prior to law school, Paul had significant experience in the criminal justice and social service fields, most recently serving as a Case Specialist for a Drug Court program, where he supervised the compliance of felony drug offenders with their probation requirements, and as a Witness Services Specialist for the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where he developed safety plans and coordinated other services for crime victims and witnesses involved in criminal prosecutions conducted by the Office.

Paul is currently the Co-Chair of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Litigation Committee, where, in addition to hosting bi-monthly meetings, he presents annually regarding recent developments in intellectual property law from the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and other regional U.S. Courts of Appeals. Paul is also an active member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association and American Intellectual Property Law Association. Paul also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he teaches a course on intellectual property practice.

Paul was named as an Ohio Super Lawyer, Rising Star, in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

He lives in Cincinnati with his wife, Rosanne, and daughters, Alexis, Alaina, and Anaelle.
